Due to the declining economy and the owner's desire to retire,
the Mantapart business is closing and will be offered for sale
in it's entirety and under related regional outlets if no single
buyer is found. Details on those options will appear below for
all interested parties and principles to consider. We will field
calls until the end of September to advise on other sources
and parts tech info for current customers during the shutdown.
The owner would like to thank the thousands of great and loyal
customers who helped grow and support the business in its 40
year span. He would also like to thank the many dedicated GM
corporate parts, engineering and motorsports people who were
so very helpful in our years developing the business and racing
efforts. And conversely, and sadly, to many who hindered the
small car movement within the company that they did an injustice
to the millions of GM small car owners and motorsports competitors
with small GM vehicles. He would also like to offer apologies
for any who may have suffered from our inability to maintain
our highest standards the past couple years, it is something
that was taken very seriously and will always be regreted. And
also would like to say to the many on the internet who either
helped or hindered our success, that we will remember them all
for their contributions. We hope that a buyer with the resources
to take over a business of this vast spectrum of parts, fabricating
and technical info will step forward, but in lieu of that we
are offering 10 regional "Intellectual Property" agreements
also. The owner would prefer to sell all the assets to one buyer,
but with the current economic and business climate the info
below will possibly offer more people access to the company,
and develop more markets, instead of from one National entity.

The owner would prefer to sell the business with all technical,
sales, fabricating and supplier sources and equipment to a single
company with the resources to continue to provide the GM small
car community with the best and most current part for their
vehicles. The purchase agreement for this option is now being
formulated and those parties who feel they have both the technical
and financial resources can contact us at the email above to
discuss details and costs. All equipment , tooling, patterns,
fixtures and molds will be included in the sale entirely, and
the owner will remain on board to assist in the take over to
provide both sales, sourcing and technical support. for up to

2) 10 REGIONAL "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY" SALES AGREEMENTS:

The owner is going to offer for sale, effective immediately,
complete access to all the technical, parts, suppliers and fabrication
specs to ten shops or businesses in specified areas across the
country. Due to the vast expense to run this business in it's
entirety, there may be greater benefits for 10 regional companies
to take the info and develop whatever part or how much of the
business they feel will help them the best to grow their own
company, either locally or Nationally. Providing this info to
these high volume market areas will insure more will be able
to continue to take advantage of these Gm small car performance
products, and hopefully the ten new owners will share some info
to all their benefits as well. Select buyers will have to provide
guaranteed financial funding via bank letter of credit before
being added to those purchasers. When the deadline is reached
all the info will be provided in a complete Information Packet
at the same time, so as to give no initial business advantage
to any of the new owners. Any of the ten will also have the
first opportunity to bid on any existing equipment, fixtures,
patterns or castings and existing inventory, etc. that are part
of the business.. but that material will be sold separately
after the Regional sale if they are not purchased by the ten
buyers.

3) IF THE BUSINESS SHOULD SELL BEFORE THE DEADLINE ALL REGIONAL
PURCHASERS WILL NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED
Should a buyer step forward to purchase the complete operations
and equipment of Mantapart, then the 10 Regional agreement purchasers
will no longer be in consideration, But they will not be out
any money since their stake in the business sale will only be
through their letter of credit. Thus only their funds on hold
with their bank will be returned to them with no chance of loss
at all so it will be completely safe and secure to vie for the
business info. At that time those 10 will also be made known
to the new owner, should they wish to make any individual offers
or agreements between themselves for parts, info or equipment.
Again, those 10 will have first consideration because of their
ability and desire to carry on the business.
In closing it is a bitter-sweet time here, but the time has
come to enjoy family and friends and actually get to do some
of their own car work and racing, too many years of keeping
everyone else's cars ready was a long and difficult job that
few would realize unless they have been in the business. Please

racers, suppliers and vendors- it has been a great time and
we are thankful for all your support in good times and bad.
